Their children were Rauf Langton who married Jane, daughter of Sir Christopher Southworth of Samlesbury; Jane, married first to Thomas Rigmayden of Wedacre, Lancaster, and later to Thurston Tyllesley of Wordley, Lancaster; Helene, married to Sir John Suthworthe of Samlesbury, Lancashire, knight; and Isabella, married to John Clayton, of Clayton, Lancashire. 715

• Background Information. 712 Sir Richard Langton, eldest son was the next to succeed to the barony. He marched to the north with the Duke of Gloucester, afterwards Richard III, and Lord Stanley, and was made a banneret by the latter at Hutton Field in 1482. Sir Richard Langton married Isabella, the daughter of Sir Thomas Gerard, of Bryn, and died on 23 Aug 1500, leaving his wife surviving. • Background Information. 714 Richard Langton, son and heir, of full age in 1473, was made a Knight Banneret by the Lord Stanley at the great review at Hutton Field, near Berwick-upon-Tweed, 22 Aug 1482, on the return of the army from the campaign in Scotland. He died 23 Aug 1500 and his inquisition took place after his death on 16 Apr 17 Henry VIII. His son and heir, Ralph Langton, was age 26 at the death of his father. He married Johanna, daughter of Sir Christopher Southworth of Samlesbury.
