• Background Information. 1329 Four siblings, John, Robert, Katherine and Anne and their aged mother came to New England by atleast 2 Dec 1639, when theywere assigned land in Webb's Field at Plymouth. The tradition is that the father, Robert Finney died enroute to the Americas. The mother of the four is most certainly the unidentified "Mother Feney" whose death at Plymouth on 22 April 1650, "aged fourscore and upwards," is the only mention of her in Plymouth records.

"Mother married Robert Finney, son of Jeffrey Finney and Ellen Smedley. (Robert Finney was born circa 1568 in Lenton, Nottinghamshire, England 1329 and died about 1638 in Boat in the Atlantic Ocean 1329.)
