• Background Information. 1252 The Pedigree of Wilington fromThe History of the Town and Castle of Tamworth, p. 129: Sir Ralph de Willington, styled by Risdon "a worthy warrior," was governor of the castle at Exeter 38 H. III, and sheriff of Devon, 42 H. III. Sir Ralph de Willington married Juliana, daughter and heiress of Sir Richard de Lomen; and had issue: • John de Willington, summoned to Parliament as a Baron from 3 Ed. III to 12 of the same reign; when he died, leaving by Joan his wife, a son and heir named Ralph de Willinton, married to Elynor, daughter of John lord Mohun of Dunster who d.s.p. in 1349. • Sir Reginald Willington, d.s.p. 29 Ed. • Background Information. 141 Ralph de Wilington married Juliane, said to be daughter and apparently heir or coheir of Sir Richard de Lomene, of Uplowman, Devon. He died before 15 October I294. Juliane was living in June 1299, but was dead by 16 November 1323.
