Information about this person:
• Background Information. 183 Ivo Pantulf had at least five sons, Hugh, Hameline, Brice, William and Norman. Of these, William and Norman seem to have been his sons by Alice de Verdon, probably a daughter of Norman de Verdon. These two had, apparently from their mother, some property at Rudyard in Staffordshire. Each of them also obtained an estate at Sheriff Hales from their father. William had an estate at Cublesdon, so he is sometimes styled of Cublesdon, sometimes of Hales. Both William and Norman, seem to have been living in 1226.
~Antiquites of Shropshire, Vol. IX, footnote, p. 164
William married Joan de Goldington, daughter of Piers de Goldington and Eve. (Joan de Goldington was born about 1158 in Goldington, Bedfordshire, England and died after 1267 in England 141.)
