• Background Information. 141 Eleanor was the daughter of Henry, Earl of Lancaster & Leicester and his wife Maud, daughter and heir of Sir Patrick de Chaworth & Isabella de Beauchamp. Eleanor married as her first husband, John, Lord Beaumont, and married as her second husband, Richard, Earl of Arundel.

• Background Information. 1078 Eleanor Plantagenęt, daughter of Henry de Plantagenęt and his wife Maud de Chaworth, married as her first husband, John de Beaumont, second Baron Beaumont, son of Sir Henry Beaumont, Earl of Buchan and his wife Alice Comyn. Eleanor had a son, Sir Henry Beaumont, who married Margaret de Vere, daughter of John de Vere and his wife Maud de Badlesmere, second daughter of Bartholomew de Badlesmere.
Eleanor married as her second husband Richard II "Copped Hat" Fitz Alan, with whom she was a mistress in the life time of her first husband. Sir Richard Fitz Alan was a member of the Knights of the Garter, the 9th Earl of Arundel and Warenne, and the son of Edmund Fitz Alan and his wife Alice de Warenne.

• Richard III Fitz Alan, married to Elizabeth de Bohun, daughter of William de Bohun and his wife Elizabeth de Badlesmere, daughter of Bartholomew de Badlesmere & Margaret de Clare.

• Alice Fitz Alan, married to Thomas Holand, second Earl of Kent
