III, p. 820, Pedigree of the Bredbury family, joint lord of Bredbury, Romylegh, Hattreslegh, and Stavelegh, and held lands in Mottram in Longedale, living during Edward I, 2 Edward II, 6 Edward III and 29 Edward III. He was married to Cecily who was living 6 Edward III. 713
Noted events in his life were:
• Background Information. 865 There was a Jordon de Bredbury who was of age and alive between 1208 and 1229. He was a witness to Sir Robert de Stokeport's grant of Marple to the Verons at the period. A later Jordan de Bredbury had a release from Hamon de Massey from a suit to his court in the time of the frist Sir Peter de Arderne, and was the father of Adam who was the father of Cicely who married Peter de Arderne. Besides Cecily, Adam had a daughter, Cahterine, who is not known to have married. ~Ormerod's Parentalia, p. 90
