• Background Information: 252 Antonio Cisneros returned in 1693 with his wife Josefa Luján and their family. He was Alcalde Mayor of Zuñi in 1706, when he was mortally wounded by Apaches, given the last Sacraments by the Padre, and buried there on August 9. His wife appears to have been at least a half-sister to María Luján (Ruiz Cáceres), wife of her brother-in-law Sebastián Martín. Their three children were named in 1727 as follows: Hermenegildo, Felipe Neri (sometimes written "Nereo"), and Juana. Felipe was married to María del Castillo in 1728. Juana had married Juan de Santisteban in 1716.
