Unknown Barreras
Noted events in his life were:
• Background Information: There are three Barrera individuals mention in Origins of New Mexico's Families. These three lived next door to each other in Belén, according to the Spanish Census of 1750 270, which leads me to consider that they were related. It is possible that Ygnacio was the father of the other two. He would have to be a very young father, which is possible. It is also possible that they are the sons of Domingo de la Barrera, mentioned in Origins of New Mexico famlies, p. 146 252 , and whose name appears in New Mexico documents between 1694-1703. The earliest Barreras in New Mexico:
• Ygnacio Barrera and Micaela López had two children, Salvador Vicente, 20 Jan 1727, and Antonio, 15 Nov 1733. • Manuel Barreda and María García had a son, Juan Miguel, 5 Oct 1749; their sponsors were Marcial Barreda and Rosa Trujillo
• Marcial Barreda, or Barrera, married Rosa Trujillo on 4 Nov 1743. They had a son, Antonio Albino, 8 Apr 1752. Manuel Barrera and María Torres had two children: Juan Miguel, 18 May 1748, and Bernardino, June 1 Jun 1752.
