William de Brereton

  General Notes:

~Ormerod's History of Chester,Vol III, p.88, "Brereton and Holt of Brereton" Predigree, gives two possible sons for the Ralph de Brerton who was a witness to the charter by Gilbert Venables. One is Ralph de Brerton, a witness to the grant of Marton about 1176; and the other is William de Brerton, the next in the Brerton line. ⁷¹³
