Pedro Guillén, a native of New Mexico, was a soldier of Santa Fe, thirty-five years old, in 1716. His wife, María Ramos, died on 28 Feb 1730, at the age of forty-three. He was still serving at the Santa Fe Presidio in 1732.

Pedro Guillén was the brother or half brother of a Josefa de Mendoza, daughter of Tomás de la Mora and Gerónima Guillén, natives of New Mexico. Josefa was the first wife of a Marcos Montoya and she died at El Paso in 1708. Pedro was a survivor of the fatal Villasur Expedition of 1720 [DM, 1727, no. 12].
