Antonio María Chaves, 30 was the legitimae son of Juan Domino Chaves and Agustina Padilla. Ana María de la Luz Sánchez, 19, citizen of the Belén mission, was the widow of her first husband, Miguel Baca, and the legitimate daughter of Mariano Sánchez and Juana Chaves. They were related in the fourth degree of consanguinity.

Farther José Ygnacio Sánchez questioned Antoni María who stated that he was a life-long resident of the Isleta area.

Witnesses:
Manuel Yturrieta, 43, stated that the couple was related in the third and fourth degrees of consanguinty and that they were related to most of the people of their station in that area.

Father Sánchez forwarded the proceedings to Father Álvarez in Belén. He questioned Ana María Sánchez of 24 Nov 1809. She stated that she had always lived in the Belén area, and had her parents' permission to marry.
