~Ancestral Roots of Certain American Colonists Who Came to America before 1700, 8th Edition, 100B:22, 162:21, Frederick I of Luxembourg, father of Gisele who married Ralph de Gaunt, was count of Salm and Luxembourg, he married the heiress of Gleiberg, possibly named Ermentrude. Frederick and his wife were also the parents of Giselbert comté de Luxembourg; and Ogive (Otgiva) who married Baldwin IV, "the Bearded," comté de Flandres et Valenciennes.

Imizi or Emerntrude and Heribert were the parents of the wife of Frederick I of Luxembourg. Her father was Heribert I, comté de Gleiberg, et Kinziggau, and he was the son of Udo, Count in the Wetterau and his wife, the daughter of Herbert I, comté de Vermandois. ¹⁶⁰

Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands, Fredric comté de Luxembourg son of Siegfried comté de Luxembourg and his wife Hedwig. He married twice. Frederich wife was the daughter of Heribert Graf im Kinziggau Pfalzgraf andhis wife Imiza. "Domna Berta, viri illustris Volcmari comitis relicta" donated property "in pago Moselensi in comitatu Waldeleuinga cui Gisilbertus comes…villa Mudenfert" to St Maximin, Trier by charter dated 996 witnessed by "Friderich comes" [Mittelrheinisches Urkundenbuch I, 273, p. 328]. The parentage of the wife of Graf Friedrich is suggested by the Vita Adelheidis which names "Irminthrudis, Alverad (et) Berthrada" as the three sisters of Adelheid, and daughters of "Megengoz" and his wife, specifying that Irminthrudis was grandmother of (three of the sons of Graf Friedrich) "Heinrici magnifici ducis et Adhelberonis Metensis episcopi, Friderici ducis" [Herimanni Augiensis Chronicon 1008, MHG SS V, p. 119].

Fredich married von Hammerstein, daughter of Herbert comté Gleiberg et Kinzigau and Imiza of Franconia.¹⁶⁰
