Luis Maese and his wife, Josefa de Archuleta, might have returned to Santa Fe in 1693, but it is certain that two daughters of theirs, Antonia and Francisca, were living there in 1727, when they sold some paternal lands. Both parents were referred to as dead. Antonia had married Mateo Martín, and was a widow in 1767 with two twin sons, both named Joaquín Martín, and known as "los Joaquines." Francisca had married Simón Nieto, a Santa Fe soldier, and was dead by 1728.

Josepha married Luis Maése, son of Esteban Maése and Antonio González de Vitoria. (Luis Maése was born in 1651 in Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España and died after 1693 in Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España.)
