• Background Information. 141 Sir Geoffrey Luttrell, son and heir. He was born before 1235. He obtained the grant of a market and fair at his manor of Hooton Paynell. After the battle of Lewes, in 1264, he was one of the knights entrusted with the defence of Windsor Castle. The King took his homage in 1265 for the lands held in chief then descending to him. Between this time and March 1266 he became incapable of managing his affairs, and he was given into the charge of his brother Alexander; his children to their maternal grandfather, William de Grey.
Sir Geoffrey Luttrell married _____, daughter of William de Grey, Sheriff of Lincoln, 1261-68. He died between November 1269 and February. 1270. His widow was living in 1275-76
